Thanks To The Pooh Success, Poohniverse Presents Horror Films From Classic Cartoons

JAKARTA - The success ofuring the Pooh: Blood and Honey which aired last year made filmmakers prepare with a franchise that combines a number of classic cartoons. The cinematic universe is called the Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.

As the name implies, Poohniverse will combine Pooh's story along with several cartoon characters that have turned into an antagonist characters. This production is done by Jaked Edge Productions and ITN Studios which will combine Pooh with Bambi, wistbell, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Tigger, Piglet, The Madhambung, and Sleeping Beauty.

"As a horror fan, we want to make Avengers who have all the villain characters. It will have Freddy Krueger, Jason, Scream, everyone," Scott Chambers as producer quoted Variety as saying.

"Obviously that's not going to happen, but we can make it happen in our way, and that's how this film was born," he continued.

Later, many characters will appear in the Poohniverse. A poster with the timeline of character announcements in the Poohniverse has also been shared on social media since Monday, March 18 yesterday.

Besidesruhi the Pooh: Blood and Honey, there is Bambi: Theeckoning, Peter Pan's Maritime Affairs, Pinnochio Unstrung. Sequels from Blood and Honey are also planned to hit US theaters on March 26.

Each film will have a hint towards the next film and will allow it if the character will appear in another film.

"We have access to all these concepts and we can do what we want with them," said director Rhys Jake-Waterfield who directed Blood and Honey.

uring the Pooh: Blood and Honey became the first film from Poohniverse to be launched in 2023 after the bookway the Pooh 1926 became the domain. With a budget of 100 thousand US dollars, this film made a profit of up to 5.2 million US dollars.
