Taskya Namya Plays In Ghost Island Film, Starts Filming February 25

JAKARTA - The production house MVP Pictures will again produce their latest horror film, entitled Hantu Island. The film will be directed by Ferry Pei and produced by Amrit Punjabi.

In a press conference, Ferry Pei said that this film will start filming on February 25 at 3 main locations, namely in the Sukabumi, Cibubur and Jakarta areas.

As the Producer of Ghost Island Films, Amrit Punjabi emphasized that this film does not continue the film Pulau Hantu which was already in 2007, 2008, and 2012. The story in the 2024 Hantu Island film will stand alone.

"The important thing is that we try to explore the existing side. This is a tribute (from Hantu Island), this is without the same relationship as the previous one. What has not been shown before, about friends. We have tried horror stories with additional elements of humanity," said Amrit.

One of the main players in this film, Taskya Namya briefly described her character known as Dara. Where in this film she has the character of a girl in her 20s who wants to be free because of her possessive mother.

The character is a child who wants to be free, doesn't want to be positive with his mother. I have a really beautiful mother, so it fits really well. Have friends," said Taskya Namya.

Selanjutnya ia menjelaskan alasan kuat mengambil proyek film ini karena merasa untuk pertama kalinya memiliki peran seperti manusia normal dibandingkan film-film hormnya yang lain.

"Why do you want to play here because this is a horror adventure, we entered the forest, island and I are here as normal humans. I am also happy because some of the cast and crew I know closely," explained Taskya.

Seeing this, Amrit Punjabi is optimistic that in 2024 the film Pulau Hantu will again become an iconic film like the previous film Pulau Hantu.

"I think it will be iconic in time, not iconic because the cast is already cool in acting. There is also a cast that debuts in this film (can be famous)," concluded Amrit.

Apart from Taskya Namya, there will be other players such as Bukie B Mansyur, Samopriel, Cindy Nirmala, Hanna Hannon, Amanda Green, Azkiya Mahira, Patty Sandia, Verdy Problemiman and Izabel Jahja.
