Signing The Adaptation Of Vina Film (Dee Company)

JAKARTA - Dee Company signed a memorandum of understanding to describe the viral story of victims of motorcycle gang atrocities in Cirebon, Vina. Producer Dee Company met with Vina's parents, Sukaesih and Wasnadi Otong Thursday, July 6, in Kuningan, South Jakarta.

"Today we have agreed to work together to make a film adapted from Vina's story in Cirebon. The Vina family came to Dee Company's office to give Vina's story adaptation rights," said Dheeraj Kalwani.

Vina was a victim of murder and rape which was brutally carried out by a motorcycle gang in Cirebon in 2016. Her death was mentioned as a result of a traffic accident. However, the family suspected that Vina's body was destroyed and asked for further investigation.

While the police were investigating, Vina's friend was possessed and told of the abuse and rape that had been carried out by a motorcycle gang in Cirebon. The perpetrator was later caught and tried.

Receiving the trust to film Vina's story, Dheeraj admits that he is ready to give his best. This adaptation film will be titled Vina: Before Seven Days.

"This story is not just a sad story, but there are many good things about Vina that have not been revealed. This is what we will show in the film," he said.

Sukaesih, Vina's mother hopes that the film about Vina can provide a positive picture of her daughter. "After her death, many actually gave a negative stigma. I hope Dee Company can show how devastated our hearts as Vina's parents are," he hoped.
