Seriously Demanding Royalties From Virgoun, Inara Rusli Prepares 50 Evidences

JAKARTA - Although his claim for royalties was rejected by Virgoun, Inara Rusli seemed determined by her establishment to demand part of the royalties of a number of Virgoun songs during their marriage life.

Arjana Bagaskara as Inara's attorney confirmed that his party would still fight for the royalty part of the song created by Virgoun.

"Still (the keukeuh maintains royalty demands)," said Arjana Bagaskara to the media crew at the West Jakarta Religious Court (PA) on Wednesday, July 5.

Seriously demanding royalties, Arjana said that his party was ready to present the evidence needed to win his client's lawsuit. Arjana assessed that the demand for royalties was very important for his client. He admitted that there had been several concrete steps taken.

"It doesn't mean we have no basis, it's clear that the creator is Mr. Virgoun as the defendant," he continued.

For information, another Inara attorney, Mulkan Let-Let, once said that his client wanted to ask for two-thirds of the money royalties from Virgoun. For him, royalties are included in joint assets.

"That we know in copyright, it's an exclusive copyright law. The exclusive rights consist of moral rights and economic rights," said Mulkan Let-let to the media crew at the West Jakarta Religious Court (PA) on June 14.

"But, this economic right is part of a common asset. Indeed, we know the definition of the economic rights itself that moving objects cannot end. That is explained in the copyright law. This intangible move has value, and the royalties we proposed were at the time of Inara Rusli and Virgoun's marriage," he concluded.
