Exactly 1 Year After Hubert Henry's Death, JPI Releases Last Man Standing Music Video

JAKARTA - Exactly one year after releasing the single Last Man Standing on all digital music platforms, Indonesian guitarist John Paul Ivan has released a music video for the song.

In this song, the guitarist who is familiarly called JPI also invited Andi Babas, who was also the former vocalist of the 2014-2020 Boomerang to fill the vocal sector. In addition, in its cultivation, he was also assisted by several musicians.

There is Fajar Satritama (drummer for Edane/God Bless), Lie Andi on bass, and Windy Saraswati (vocalist for Take Over) on harmony vocals.

This song, which is thick with rock music nuances, is an encouragement to anyone and creates a sense of optimism in dealing with every problem.

The music video was produced and directed by JPI, assisted by Rahyudhy Putra. The concept of the music video features the guitarist and Babas at the People's Crossing Bridge (JPO) in the Sudirman area, Jakarta.

Through the video, the two musicians seem to want to give a message to stay afloat in the midst of the current uncertain situation. This is also reflected in the facial expressions of JPI and Babas.

“In this video, we only present two subjects, namely myself and Andi Babas. Why not make a band concept, because it's a bit complicated to make it at an outdoor location. Besides that, this concept is a solo album, not a band," JPI revealed about the music video for the song Last Man Standing.

JPI added that the Last Man Standing music video was intentionally released on May 8 yesterday because it coincided with the one-year anniversary of the death of the bassist of the band Boomerang, Hubert Henry Limahelu (HH5h) on April 24, 2021.

“This song is in memory of the late Hubert Henry because he was the last person in the band Boomerang. I saw that after his departure the Boomerang was no longer there, it was finished because the others had all left, you could say they were in their former status," said JPI.
