Women In India Desperate To Jump From Bajaj Gegara Bring Drivers To Unknown Routes

JAKARTA - A female bajaj passenger was desperate to jump from the vehicle she was traveling in after the driver or driver took her to an unknown route in Bangalore, India.

Quoting the Times of India, Friday, January 3, the 30-year-old woman boarded the bajaj after ordering her through the Namma Yatri application. In the application, it is clearly written that the pick-up route from Horamavu to his home is in Thanisandra.

On the way, the woman has also given clear instructions to the Bajaj driver.

He began to realize something was wrong when the driver, instead of following the usual route, passed a foreign route in Hebbal.

After trying to ask several times until the driver did not respond to his request to stop bajaj, the woman decided to jump out of the vehicle.

This case has not been reported by the woman to the police or related applications. However, her husband, Azhar Khan, shared his wife's experience on social media X by mentioning the Bengaluru City Police account.

According to Azhar, the behavior of the driver towards a foreign road without communication with the passenger made his wife panic. According to his wife's confession as well, the eyes of the Bajaj driver looked red because he was drunk.

Fortunately, said Azhar, his wife was not injured.

"This is a serious issue concerning women's safety. If this could happen to my wife at 9 p.m., imagine how many other women are facing similar situations while traveling late at night," Khan said.
