Session Of The Code Of Ethics For The DWP Extortion Case, Two Members Of The Metro Police Were Demotioned 8 And 5 Years

JAKARTA - The Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial with alleged violators Iptu SM and Brigadier FRS related to the extortion case for the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) audience has been completed. Both were subject to transfer sanctions in the form of demotion.

"(The two alleged violators) of the sanctions are demotional," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Erdi Chaniago, Friday, January 3.

Although the sanctions given are similar, there are differences regarding the time. Iptu SM was sanctioned with demotion for 8 years, while Brigadier FRS was 5 years faster.

In the decision of the KKEP trial, the two members of the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate were also subject to ethical sanctions in the form of participating in mental development of personality, mental, religious and professional knowledge for one month.

The sanction was given because the KKEP trial commission assessed that the two alleged violators had committed a disgraceful act. They asked for money from the DWP concert audience who had been secured as a condition of release.

"At the time of the examination of the person who was secured, he had made a request for money in return for his release or release," said Erdi.

Based on the decision, the two of them compactly filed an appeal. Thus, they have several days to submit an appeal file to the court commission.

"The violator declared an appeal," said Erdi.

Currently, five police officers have undergone a KKEP trial related to the extortion case. Three of them were sentenced to dismissal or dishonorable dismissal (PTDH).

They are Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Triananta Syaeful, and AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia.

While the other two, namely Kompol Dzul Fadlan and another policeman with the initials S. They were sentenced to a demotional mutation for 8 years.

The five of them are known to have filed a compact appeal against the decision.
