JAKARTA - The latest Marvel film, Eternals, has been officially screened in Indonesia since Wednesday, November 10 yesterday. This film is classified as 13+ so it can be watched by children from the age of 13.

On the other hand, the audience who watched Eternals in theaters expressed their disappointment. The reason is that there are several scenes that were cut in the broadcast of Eternals, one of which was a gay kissing scene.

Rommy Fibri as Chairman of the Film Censorship Institute (LSF) stated that the Eternals film material has been adapted to the Indonesian market.

“The LSF received the film Eternals for censorship already in the condition it was released. So, Marvel itself did it," said Rommy Fibri to VOI on Thursday, November 11.

Therefore, with the available materials, LSF can classify Eternals films as can be watched starting from 13 years old.

"LSF appreciates the directors and producers of Marvel films because for screening in Indonesia, they have adapted to the socio-cultural conditions of the Indonesian people," explained Rommy.

"This is a form of good understanding and awareness from the world of the international film industry in viewing the market and regulations in Indonesia."

Rommy Fibri explained that Marvel wanted Eternals to appear in Indonesia so that they would follow the culture in Indonesia.

"The Eternals film that they sent for censorship to LSF has been adjusted, and LSF gives awards to the director and film producer," concluded Rommy.
