The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) reports that currently the total investment that has been included in the construction of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) has reached IDR 51.3 trillion.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said the incoming investment was an accumulation of the groundbreaking activities carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the sixth stage.

"In total, investment in IKN continues to progress. The President (Jokowi) has been to IKN six times to conduct groundbreaking and this really shows investment entering IKN. The total so far is IDR 51.3 trillion for private investment or direct investment," Agung said when met by reporters at the DPR RI Complex, Jakarta, Monday, June 10.

In addition, said Agung, currently there are a number of investors who have entered through the Government Cooperation with Business Entity (PPP) scheme.

"So far, from interest, commitment and until it is stated now, they are all doing a feasibility study (FS) as an investment stage, there are nine companies," said Agung.

"And among them are three countries from foreign investors and that is an indication of around Rp45 trillion," he continued.

Agung added that several countries that have entered the FS stage are Malaysia, China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

"One that has entered the FS stage is Malaysia, the same country as IKN in Kalimantan. Second from China, both are in housing. The third is from the UAE for renewable energy," he added.
