JAKARTA - BMW has released the latest generation from M5, which offers outstanding performance from the standard Series-5. After its introduction, the German manufacturer announced the start of its first production of the M5 at BMW Group's Digolfing plant, Germany.
"We are proud to be able to build the latest generation of the iconic M5 in Dinoflfing," said Plant Director of the BMW Group, Christoph Schroder, on the manufacturer's website, July 2.
The main component for the new BMW M5 is produced on site or supplied by a nearby component factory, carrying an 'under the roof' production approach. For example, the car chassis is specially designed at the 02.10 Dingoflfing component plant, while a high voltage battery is assembled at the E-Drive Production Competency Center, the 02.20 plant. The carbon fiber roof is supplied by a factory in Landshut, about 30 kilometers from Dinofeling.
Production at vehicle factories is also experiencing special modifications to the body repair shop.
