"There was a decrease in the percentage of poor people in Kaltara by 0.41 percentage points compared to September 2022 and March 2023," he continued.
Over the past three years from March 2021 to March 2023, the number of poor people in Kaltara has moved fluctuately. From March 2021 to September 2021, it decreased from 52.86 thousand people in March 2021 to 49.49 thousand people in September 2021.
"The decline in the poor population which occurred from March 2021 to September 2021 reached 3.37 thousand people. Then, March 2021 to March 2022, which was originally 52.86 thousand in September 2021, decreased to 49.46 thousand in March 2022. So that in March 2021 to March 2022 the number of poor people decreased by 3.40 thousand," he explained.
The poor population experienced an increase from March 2022 to September 2022. In March 2022, the poor in North Kalimantan Province amounted to 49.46 thousand people (6.77 percent).
"There was an increase in the poor by 1.12 thousand people in September 2022 when compared to the poor in March 2022 or an increase of 2.21 percentage points," he explained.
