Getaci Confirmed To Be Canceled As The Longest Toll Road In Indonesia, Ministry Of PUPR Reveals The Cause

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the re-auction of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road was cut only to Ciamis.

Thus, technically the Getaci Toll Road is canceled as the longest toll road in Indonesia. The reason is, referring to data on the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR, the Getaci toll road will only spread along 108.3 kilometers (km) with an investment value of IDR 37.64 trillion.

In fact, the long position of the toll road is no longer than the Cikampek-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road, which has a total of 116 km.

Responding to this, the Director General of Infrastructure and Housing Financing of the Ministry of PUPR, Herry Trisaputra Zuna, said that cutting the Getaci toll road needs to be done to attract investors.

"The total length is, right, only stages. It must be structured (the auction is per share), so it is affordable for business entities," said Herry when met at the DPR RI Complex, Thursday, June 6.

Herry added that the re-auction of the toll road project is targeted to be held this month.

He hopes that the signing of the toll road business agreement (PPJT) can be carried out in September.

"Hopefully there will be participants," he added.

Based on the announcement of the Auction Results of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Ciamis Toll Road Concession Number:24/BPJT/L/GTCM/2024 seen on the official BPJT website, the Getaci toll auction was only attended by two consortiums.

First, the consortium PT Trans Persada Sejahtera-PT Wiranusantara Bumi which was declared not to have passed. Second, the Consortium PT Dayamulia Turangga-PT China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai which was also declared unsuccessful.
