Astra Biz Center Groundbreaking, Jokowi: Thank You For Spending Not A Little Money

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) laid the first stone or groundbreaking for the construction of the Astra Biz Center owned by PT Astra International Tbk in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, today.

Jokowi appreciated Astra's move which was considered to have poured out a lot of funds to invest in IKN.

"I also want to express my gratitude because this is not a business matter, this is a social matter. Because (the funds) are from their Corporate, Social and Responsibility (CSR). He-he spent a lot of money. I don't know how many hundred billion," he said as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Tuesday, June 4.

He explained that Astra Biz Center is an integrated service complex or Astra's integrated service which stands on an area of 3.4 hectares (ha).

Later, the Astra Biz Center will serve maintenance of 11 vehicle brands under Astra's auspices.

Not only Astra Biz, Jokowi also carried out groundbreaking for the construction of the Nusantara Botanical Garden.

"And also the construction of the Nusantara Botanical Garden which is carried out by a consortium," he said.

According to Jokowi, the development of the Nusantara Botanical Garden will support IKN Nusantara as a green, intelligent and loved city by all parties.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, (I inaugurate) the groundbreaking of the Astra Center and Nusantara Botanical Garden," he added.
