JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation is carrying out digital transformation of ports with the Single Submission Transportation (SSm Transport) system in an effort to increase logistics cost efficiency.
"The Ministry of Transportation is committed to continuing to encourage the implementation of the National Logistic Ecosystem or NLE to run well in the field and is committed to synergizing with stakeholders at the port so that implementation continues," said Director of Traffic and Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation Hendri Ginting in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 6.
In order to facilitate access to logistics services through collaboration of government systems, especially at ports, the Single Window National Institute has developed a collaboration application system called the Transport Single Submission System or the Transport SSm.
SSm Pengkut is currently being tested in 46 ports in line with the issuance of Circular Letter number SE-DJPL 2 of 2024 concerning the Implementation of Full Service (Mandatory) of Submission Services/Single (SSm Transport) One Cycle and Information of Domestic Manifest Services by the Ministry of Transportation.
Hendri when opening the Technical Guidance activity of the SSm Transport Application which is integrated with the Inaportnet Application, said that this technical guidance is an important momentum in joint efforts to realize the efficiency and effectiveness of services at the port. It is hoped that collaboration between stakeholders will continue to be sustainable in order to achieve a common goal in advancing the Indonesian marine transportation sector.
The Technical Guidance for the SSm Transport Application, which is Integrated with the Inaportnet Wave 1 Application, aims to improve the knowledge and capabilities of officers at ports and relevant stakeholders in the use of the SSm Transport application to improve ship traffic and goods services at ports.
Hendri expressed his appreciation to all parties who have contributed to implementing the National Logistics Ecosystem. Collaboration between related vertical agencies, Heads of Technical Implementation Units at Ports, and all teams involved in the field are a reflection of a shared commitment to support the implementation of the Presidential Instruction of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2020 concerning the Arrangement of the National Logistics Ecosystem.
"It is hoped that the implementation of the SSm Pengangkut application can be a concrete step in increasing the effectiveness of services at ports," he said.
The Coordinator for the Implementation of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Corruption (Stranas PK), Febriantoro, said that digitalization in port services was a positive step in responding to the Stranas PK program.
"SSm Pengkut is one proof of real work to change service bureaucracy in the port sector from the previous manual which has been digitized, which supports a tangible manifestation of support for the Stranas PK program," he said.
