JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is committed to being a neutral party in the presidential election contestation (candidate) in the 2024 General Election.

Acting Daily Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, said that the Indonesian economy is currently facing a number of challenges both from abroad and within the country.

"There is a potential economic slowdown and an increase in global inflation, to climate change that has contributed to national economic growth," he told reporters, Wednesday, January 10.

Yukki said the challenges faced and originating from within the country were related to maintaining political stability and security in the 2024 general election in order to create a conducive business climate.

He hopes that the 2024 General Election will take place fairly, honestly, and peacefully so that national stability is maintained and conducive.

"Kadin is always committed to maintaining neutrality, focusing on economic growth, and long-term political stability," he said.

To maintain neutrality, said Yukki, Kadin held a dialogue with the three presidential candidates (candidates) to explore the vision and mission and economic programs of the 2024-2029 Indonesian presidential candidates in realizing the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.

"The vision, mission, and economic programs offered by the presidential candidates are expected by the business world to create a conducive climate for business growth and in line with the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045," said Yukki.
