United Bike Continues To Develop Affordable Electric Motors To The World

JAKARTA - PT Terang Dunia Internusa (United Bike) continues to strive to develop and build environmentally friendly electric motors as an alternative to an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)-based motorcycle.

President Director of PT Terang Dunia Internusa (United Bike) Stephen Mulyadi said that his party has a vision of revolutionizing the transportation industry.

"By providing two-wheeled vehicles, both electricity and pedals are environmentally friendly, efficient, and affordable to the world," he said, quoting Antara.

He revealed that the company has a variety of superior products for electric vehicles, for electric bicycles (e-vehicles and e-series) including having products such as E-MTB, E-Gravel, E-Moped, City and Folding.

Then, for electric motorcycles (EV-motorcycles), they have products such as MX-1200, T-1800, TX-1800, and TX-3000.

Stephen said most components of the United E-Motor come from domestic or contain Domestic Component Level (TKDN) above 40 percent, so that material costs incurred are lower and availability is more secure.

For information, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) noted that the transportation sector contributed 44 percent of the use of fuel in DKI Jakarta Province, followed by the energy industry 31 percent, industrial manufacturing 10 percent, the housing sector 14 percent, and commercial 1 percent.

In terms of carbon monoxide (CO) emitting, the largest contribution comes from the transportation sector by 96.36 percent or 28,317 tons per year, followed by a power plant of 1.76 percent or 5,252 tons per year, and industry 1.25 percent reaching 3,738 tons per year.

Motorcycles are the highest producer of pollution burdens per passenger, compared to private gasoline cars, diesel private cars, passenger cars, and buses.

The high portion of the burden of pollution from fossil fuel motorcycles in DKI Jakarta is in line with the large number of modes of transportation, where the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the number of motorcycles in DKI Jakarta in 2022 reached 17.30 million units, or an increase from the previous year was 16.71 million units.
