The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Notes 1,075 Oil And Gas Business Entities Not Reporting Business Activities

The Directorate General of Oil and Gas noted that there were 1,075 oil and gas transportation business entities that did not report their business activities to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development, Maompang Harahap, detailed that this number is 73 percent of the total business entities listed at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas.

To Downstream Business Entities who are not routine and/or have never reported, to immediately report their business activities. If they do not submit a plan report and the realization of the implementation of their business activities, they will be subject to sanctions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the form of written warnings, suspension of business licenses, and the most severe is the revocation of Business Permits", said Mapamong in his statement, Thursday, August 3.

Maompang said this was done in the context of fostering and supervising downstream oil and gas business activities. For this reason, the government requires the Business Entity of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Permit Holders to report plans and realization of the implementation of their business activities including types, numbers and operations regularly or at any time if needed to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources with a copy of the Regulatory Agency.

Furthermore, Mampang Harahap said that the obligation to report by the Business Entity was a mandate from the Oil and Gas Law No. 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Natural Gas and its derivative laws and regulations.

For information, reporting business activities of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Entities periodically on the 10th (tenth) of each month to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Director General of Oil and Gas through the Oil and Gas Licensing application for Downstream Oil and Gas Business License holders issued before 2019 and already has a reporting account.

"Meanwhile, the Business Entity holding the Hilir Migas Business License issued in 2019 and after that will report via email. Oil @esdm.go.id," he concluded.
