JAKARTA - A woman with the initials AP, the owner of a wedding organizer (WO) in Jakarta, is suspected of committing fraud against a number of her clients. The case went viral on social media on Sunday night, December 7th.

WO managed by AP is known to operate on Jalan H. Siun, Ceger, Cipayung, East Jakarta. AP was successfully secured by the victims after they felt abandoned even though the wedding package had been paid in full.

The victims said AP promised a luxury wedding service, but never provided. Even some couples who were supposed to hold the event on the set day actually failed the event because the catering service was not provided by the WO.

In uploads on social media, AP is referred to as the owner of WO with the initials PT APS and two business accounts that are suspected to be related. However, this information is still sourced from netizens and has not been confirmed directly by the police.

Feeling aggrieved, the victims then handed over AP to the East Jakarta Metro Police. Meanwhile, a number of other victims who claimed to have experienced similar cases also visited the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on the same night to question the follow-up to their report.

In an amateur video recording at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Kasat Reskrim Kompol Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar seemed to calm the reporters. He emphasized that this case was still being handled by the Police in a coordinated manner.
