Ruben Amorim Appreciates AC Milan Fans' Support in Indonesia

JAKARTA - AC Milan coach Ruben Amorim appreciated the support from AC Milan fans in Indonesia during the team's preseason match against Chelsea at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta.

"The fans here are amazing. The support they gave us over the past three days is unbelievable," Ruben Amorim said in a press conference after the match at the SUGBK, Jakarta, Saturday.

Although, Milan suffered a crushing defeat 0-3 from Chelsea in the pre-season match titled the 2026 Indonesia Super Cup, Amorim admitted that the support given by the fans meant a lot for the Rossoneri.

Support is given, he said, not only during the match, but since the team arrived in Jakarta on Thursday (6/8).

Amorim said he really wanted to win the match for the fans, but the result was not what he expected.

However, he said, the important thing is how to prepare the team and see the ability of all players.

"Of course we didn't play very well, there are many things we have to improve. But, that's normal," he said.

The Portuguese coach admitted that he had collected a lot of good information from the match in Jakarta to prepare the team that will compete in Serie A next season.

According to him, there are many things that the players did not do well so that they must be corrected before the 2026/2027 competition season begins.

"We will go back to Milan and we will train the things we need to work on," he said.
