JAKARTA - Tugimin, Alvaro's grandfather, told about the situation that is now being hit by his family, after the body of a 6-year-old boy in the Bogor area, West Java, after being reported missing for months.

Tugimin, as Alvaro's grandfather called, did not expect that the perpetrator of the kidnapping Alvaro was his own biological father, Alex, who is now reported to have died because he was called a suicide at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Tugimin said, even Alex was looking for Alvaro's whereabouts at that time. Even though Tugimin finally knew that Alex at that time pretended not to know.

"Alvaro and his stepfather are good. Every Saturday "Sunday he comes, he asks for snacks, then he is escorted back to Tangerang, even though his wife is here (Bintaro)," said Alvaro's grandfather, Tugimin, at the funeral home, Monday, November 24, 2025.

Tugimin admitted that he did not expect that the person who kidnapped and killed his grandson would actually be his own stepfather.

"We didn't expect his own stepfather to do anything like this. Alvaro doesn't have any sins, why make him a victim? That's what we really regret," he said.

He also said that since Alvaro was declared missing, the perpetrator named Alex had pretended to help find and even take his family to make a report to the Police. During the initial examination, the perpetrator admitted that he did not know about the incident of Alvaro's disappearance.

"Even though he was already being investigated, he didn't admit it at all. He even looked for it, took me to the police station and others," he said.

Tugimin said that when the perpetrator was detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police, he did not receive direct information. He only found out after confirming it with investigators.

"When I wanted to go home I asked, 'Sir, is the perpetrator here?' Then he answered, 'That's it.' That's all, then I went home,' he said.

Shortly after, Tugimin received news that the perpetrator had died and the family had been buried.

"The condition of the perpetrator turned out to be that we received news that he committed suicide at the Resort Police. His body was taken by his family and has been buried," he said.

As previously reported, Alfano Kiari Nugroho, a boy from Jalan Masjid Al-Mufimhun, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, was reported missing since Thursday, March 6, 2025.

After the police conducted an investigation, it was discovered that Alex, Alvaro's stepfather, was the culprit.

However, not after the process was completed, Alvaro's family was reported that Alex died of suicide at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Sayem, Tugimin's wife, said she couldn't believe Alex died before seeing his body.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed confirmed the news of Alex's suicide.
