JAKARTA - A man named Julisa was arrested by the police for stealing a motorbike using Cash On Delivery (COD) transaction mode in the Grogol Selatan area, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
Panit 4 Resmob Polda Metro Jaya, Iptu Aditya Rizky Nugroho, explained that the arrests were made on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Jalan H. Sapri, Jati Mulya, Cilodong, Depok, West Java.
"It's true, we have secured the perpetrators of theft with COD mode," said Aditya, Friday (11/4).
Chronology of the case incident began when the victim named Heriyanto offered his Honda Vario motorcycle via social media. On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the victim met two men who claimed to want to buy the motorbike.
One of them, Julisa, asked permission to do a test drive. Meanwhile, another man, known to be only an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol), remained at the location.
When the test drive took place, Julisa pretended to have a problem with her motorbike and asked Heriyanto to come down to check. However, after the victim got off, Julisa immediately stepped on the gas and took the motorbike away. The victim also reported the incident to the police.
