Jabodetabek Weather Sunday, June 7 Dominated by Clear Cloudy, Light Rain in the Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Sunday, June 7, will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning. However, light rain is potentially occurring in a number of areas in the afternoon and evening.

The DKI Jakarta region is expected to experience sunny weather from morning to early afternoon. Entering the afternoon, light rain is likely to fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, while the Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands regions tend to be cloudy. The air temperature ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 60-95 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. The Puncak, Cisarua, and surrounding areas have the potential to be hit by rain accompanied by lightning in the afternoon before nightfall. The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 20-27 degrees Celsius with a relatively high humidity level.

In the Depok area, the weather is expected to be cloudy in the morning before light rain falls in the afternoon and evening. Similar conditions are also potentially occurring in the Tangerang and Bekasi areas, especially in areas directly bordering Jakarta and Bogor.

BMKG reminds people who plan to spend the weekend in natural tourist areas, including Puncak Bogor, to be aware of the potential for rain in the afternoon which can cause slippery roads and reduce visibility.

In general, the weather conditions in Jabodetabek are still influenced by the relatively high air humidity, which supports the formation of local rain clouds during the day and night. The public is advised to prepare umbrellas or raincoats and monitor the latest weather information before going outdoors.
