JAKARTA - SpaceX reportedly signed a major contract in the field of AI computing with Anthropic and Google. The value could reach USD70 billion if the entire deal goes full.

On an annual basis, the two contracts are estimated to be worth around USD26 billion.

In one of the deals, Google is said to pay SpaceX $920 million per month from October 2026 to June 2029. In return, Google gets access to SpaceX's computing resources.

The deal reportedly includes around 110,000 Nvidia GPUs and supporting infrastructure. GPUs are high-performance chips that are widely used to train and run AI models. This capacity will help Google's AI product needs, including Gemini Enterprise.

Google's contract comes after a separate deal with Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model. Anthropic reportedly gained access to SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center, which is said to have more than 220,000 Nvidia chips and a capacity of around 300 megawatts.

The value of the Anthropic deal is estimated at around USD1.25 billion per month.

However, Anthropic's contract is not necessarily smooth until the end. Elon Musk said the lease was structured as a short-term contract. Each party can terminate it with 90 days' notice.

Although the contract could continue until May 2029, Musk said SpaceX wanted to keep the option of taking back the computing capacity if it needed it itself.

In its report, Anadolu Agency said that this agreement came at a time when technology companies were scrambling for AI computing power. To train and run advanced AI models, companies need huge amounts of chips. Without chips and data centers, AI development is difficult to run on a large scale.

For SpaceX, this business opens new doors. The company is beginning to position itself as a supplier of large-scale AI infrastructure. Computing power could become an important source of revenue outside the rocket launch, satellite, and Starlink business.

The timing is also interesting. SpaceX is said to be preparing an initial public offering or IPO. Regular revenue from AI computing rentals can strengthen the company's appeal to investors.

A number of reports say SpaceX could target fundraising of up to USD75 billion from its debut on the US stock market.

However, investors still need to read his small note. There is a termination clause and a rapid change in the AI computing business that could affect the valuation of the value of the deal.

This contract also shows the intensity of competition behind the AI explosion. Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and other large companies are now racing to secure chips, data centers, and electricity to run AI models that are increasingly computationally greedy.

If it goes according to plan, SpaceX's contracts with Anthropic and Google will be among the largest AI infrastructure revenue opportunities ever reported by a private tech company ahead of an IPO.
