Geological Agency Alerts Potential For Movable Land 15 Regencies And Cities In North Sulawesi

The Geological Agency mapped 15 regencies and cities in the North Sulawesi (Sulut) region with the potential for land movement in the rainy season.

The mapping was based on a study by the Center for Monitoring of Volcano and Disaster Mitigation of the Land Movement of Sulawesi and Maluku, which is a technical unit of the Geological Agency.

In Bitung City, he said, the medium-class land movement in Bilang District, while the medium to high categories in Girian, Madidir, Maesa, Matuari, Ranowulu, Aertembaga, South Lembeh, and North Lembeh sub-districts.

In Bolaang Mongondow Regency, the medium category includes East Bolaang, Bolaang, West Dumoga, Dumoga Tengah, Dumoga Timur, Lolayan Pasi Barat, and nPasi Timur sub-districts, while the medium to high categories are Dumoga Tenggara, Dumoga Utara, Lolak, Poigar, and Sangtombolang sub-districts.

South Bolaang Mongondow Regency is in the intermediate category of each in Bolanguki, Pinolosian, Central Pinolosian, East Pinolosian, and Posigadan sub-districts.

Furthermore, in East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, it is in the middle category in each sub-district, namely Kotabunan, Modayag, West Modayag, Nuangan, and Tutuyan sub-districts.

Next, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency, all sub-districts are in the middle category, namely Bintauna, West Bolangitang, East Bolangtang, Kaidipang, Pinogaluman and Sangkub sub-districts.

For Tomohon City, all sub-districts are in the medium to high category, respectively North Tomohon District, East Tomohon, Central Tomohon, West Tomohon, and South Tomohon Districts.

In the districts of the Sangihe Islands, Kendane District, South Manganitu, South Tabukan Utara, West Tabukan, South Tabukan Tenggara, West Tahuna, and Tamako are in the middle-high category, while Manganitu District, Central Tabukan, Central South Tabukan is in the middle category.

In Sitaro Islands Regency, all sub-districts fall into the medium to high category, namely West Siau District, South West Siau, North West Siau, Central Siau, East Siau, South East Siau, Tagulandang, South Tagulandang, North Tagulandang District, as well as Talaud Islands Regency, Beo, South Beo District, North Beo, Damau, Kabaruan, Pulutan, Rainis, and Handsome Amma.

Furthermore, in Kotamobagu City, all sub-districts are in the middle category, namely West Kotamobagu, South Kotamobagu, East Kotamobagu, and North Kotamobagu.

Meanwhile, in Manado City, the middle categories are Bunaken Islands District, Sario District, Malalayang District, and Wanea with the potential for flash floods / flow of raw materials.

Meanwhile, the middle to high categories are Bunaken, Mapanget, and Pal Dua, Singkil, Tikala, Tuminting, and Wenang sub-districts with the potential for flash floods / flow of raw materials.

In Minahasa Regency, the areas that fall into the middle category are East Langowan, Remboken, East Langowan, and Tompaso Districts, while the intermediate-high categories include Eris, Kakas, Kakas, West Kawangkoan, West Kawangkoan, North Kawangkoan, Kombi, West Langowan, South Langowan, East Lembeyan, Mandolang, Pineleng, Sonder, Tombariri, East Tombariri, Tombulu, West Tompaso, West Tondano, South Tondano, East Tondano, and North Tondano sub-districts that have the potential for flash floods / flow of raw materials are Pineleng and Tombulu Districts.

South Minahasa Regency, the medium category areas include Maesaan, Modoinding and Tompaso Baru sub-districts, while the middle-high categories are Amurang, West Amurang, East Amurang, Kumelembuai, Motoling, West Motoling, East Motoling, Ranoyapo, Sinondutu, Suluun Tareran, Tareran, Tangkap, Tenga, and Tumpaan.

In Southeast Minahasa Regency, the middle categories are Pusomaen District, and East Tombatu, while the middle-high categories are in Belang, Pasan, Ratahan, East Ratatan, Ratatotok, Silian Raya, Touluaan, South Touluaan, Tombatu, and North Tombatu Districts.

Meanwhile, in North Minahasa Regency, all sub-districts are in the middle-high category, namely Airmadidi, Dimembe, Kalawat, Kauditan, Kema, West Likupang, South Likupang, East Likupang, Talahaan, and Wori sub-districts.

Meanwhile, the sub-district that has the potential for flash floods / flow of raw materials is Kalawat District.
