Three robbers and kidnappers of cosmetic shop employees in the Cempaka Putih area were arrested by a joint team from Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro Central Jakarta.

"The information has been caught by the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police, AKP Yossy Yanuar when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, January 22.

The arrests began with the robbery and kidnapping of cosmetic shop employees on Jalan Pangkalan Asem 11, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, Friday, January 17, 2025, in the afternoon.

The perpetrator then entered the shop and immediately beat the victim. The perpetrator is known to be carrying a firearm.

The victim was also kidnapped by the perpetrator and put into the car on the grounds that he would take him to the Cempaka Putih Police Station. However, the perpetrators took the victim to the Bogor area, West Java.

The victim was also tortured in the car by the perpetrators. The perpetrator then contacted the shop owner to pay the victim's ransom of Rp. 30 million. However, the shop owner ignored it.

The perpetrator then dumped the victim in the Bogor area, West Java. The victim then reported the incident to the Cempaka Putih Police.

After receiving the report, the ranks of the Cempaka Putih Police together with the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Metro Jaya Police are hunting for the perpetrators of the robbery and kidnapping at the cosmetic shop.

AKP Yossy said the hunt for the perpetrators, the Cempaka Putih Police, was assisted by the Central Jakarta Metro Police and Polda Metro Jaya.

Currently, the victim is still undergoing treatment at the RSCM. The victim's body condition was filled with bruises due to a blunt object impact.

"It is possible that the victim was tortured in the car until the victim was dumped in Bogor," he said.

Meanwhile, from the information gathered by VOI, the three perpetrators were two TNI personnel and one civilian.

It is not yet known which unit was involved in the robbery and kidnapping.

However, the robbery and kidnapping cases are currently being handled by Polda Metro Jaya.

"The case is handled by the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a group of people carrying firearms ransacked a cosmetic shop on Jalan Pangkalan Asem 11, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrators also beat the shop employee with the initials DS (30) and took away millions of rupiah.
