Dewa 19 Prepare a Song with a New Arrangement for the Mahayuga Symphony Stage

JAKARTA - Dewa 19 featuring Virzha is confirmed to be one of the main performers in the Simfoni Mahayuga event.

The special concert which is part of the celebration of Garuda TV's 3rd Anniversary will be held at the Grand Theater of Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta, on Sunday, August 9.

Virzha said Dewa 19 is scheduled to perform about ten songs. In addition to presenting a row of hit songs, they also plan to present song material in a new arrangement form.

"Maybe there are some songs that are brought in that are newly released songs, the new version of it. It must be brought in with a new arrangement as well," said Virzha, met at a press conference in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 3.

The 36-year-old singer added that appearances on the screen always have special preparations, especially in terms of stage costumes. He said Dewa 19 often distinguishes the concept of appearance between off-air stages and television shows.

"If the costume is usually different when appearing on TV. We always distinguish between off-air and TV appearances," said Virzha.

Meanwhile, Garuda TV Operations Director, Untung Pranoto, explained the reason for choosing Dewa 19 as the main event. His party wants to present a show that focuses on combining the legendary band with soloists.

"We want to focus on Dewa with the soloists we invite. In the past, and until now, thank God, when there is a figure of Dhani on a TV, it can bring the TV or the concept of the program to be better," said Untung.

In addition to presenting Dewa 19, this event was also enlivened by four soloists from talent search events, namely Anggis Devaki, Yan Joshua, Kenriz, and Angie Carvalho.

Not only music performances, the Simfoni Mahayuga which is part of the series of celebrations for Garuda TV's 3rd Anniversary entitled "Mahayuga" will also feature a performance from illusionist Sacred Riana.

Mahayuga also plans to present eight awards to figures who are considered to have made great contributions to the progress of Indonesia.
