KPK TWK Polemic That Must End Soon
JAKARTA - Polemic of National Insight Test (TWK) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is expected to end soon. To resolve this issue the DPR RI as a partner will call the KPK to seek final clarity on the issue.
After all, according to KSP Chief Moeldoko, such TWK tests also run in other agencies. So there is no need to mention it.
It is known, in the latest developments, as many as 51 out of 75 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK assessment will be dismissed. While the other 24 will be done coaching.
The decision was taken in a meeting held by five KPK leaders together with the Ministry of PAN RB, State Personnel Agency (BKN), Tuesday, May 25.
KPK Vice Chairman Alexander Marwata said that 51 employees were forced to be dismissed because they were judged unable to follow the training and further coaching.
"The 51 are certain because the coaching can not be done based on assessor's review, they certainly can not join again with KPK," Alexander said, Tuesday, May 25.
Alexander said that there are only 24 employees who are considered worthy of national insight training and education.
After attending further training, the 24 employees can be appointed as state civil servants (ASN).

DPR Calls KPK
Commission III of the House of Representatives will call 75 employees of KPK that did not pass to be changed status to State Civil Apparatus (ASN). After the direction of President Joko Widodo some time ago, KPK instead dismissed 51 employees because they could not participate in further training.
Member of Commission III Habiburokhman said, based on the ASN Law every employee who will be appointed as a civil servant must have good national insight.
However, questioning whether KPK employees who did not pass TWK need to be dismissed, Habiburokhman considered it needed to be discussed together with the KPK.
"The big issue is that we encourage how this ASN has clear national insight. But whether technically in the form of TWK or something else so we want to hear in the official forum," said Habiburokhman, Tuesday, May 25.
Furthermore, he explained, that in general the appointment of ASN in the KPK environment is technically regulated in more detail through Government Regulations and also KPK Regulations that still refer to the Law.
Therefore, in order to sit this issue becomes clear then Commission III DPR RI will soon conduct a working meeting with the KPK related to the results of TWK. DPR wants to hear directly from the KPK on the matter.
"It is scheduled in this session we also have a hearing with the KPK. From this opportunity, we will explore exactly what the decision is in detail and then what is the reason for each. That's why we need to sit together," explained the politician Gerindra.
In principle, continued Habiburokhman, Commission III DPR wants to strengthen the KPK from all sides. This includes filling ASN-level employees with good nationality insights.
He stressed that each party can sit down together to find a solution and a middle ground to continue strengthening the KPK.
"I think we should not create narratives that contradict, remove this, remove it. Do not look for the opposition," said Habiburokhman.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives Of The Republic of Indonesia Pangeran Khairul Saleh hopes that there is a wise and transparent policy related to the polemic of the National Insight Test (TWK) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"There is a policy that is prudent and done transparently, so as not to cause various suspicions that have been rolling in the community," Pangeran told reporters, Wednesday, May 26.
Pangeran understood the test was carried out by competent institutions and selected assessors. Because the decision must also be respected because it is the result of an agreement that gave birth to the policy.
"We hope that this polemic will be completed soon. So that this anti-corruption institution can immediately carry out the prevention and eradication of corruption in the country so that Indonesia's development is more advanced in the future, supported by qualified and professional human resources," he said.
TWK is also in Other Agencies
Chief of Presidential Staff Moeldoko assessed the issue of the National Insight Test (TWK) in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) no longer needed to be used as polemic. Moreover, it prolongs the problem by associating 51 dismissed employees.
Because, he said, tests such as TWK as a form of national strengthening for government employees are already running in several agencies. Not just in anti-corruption agencies.
"Not only the KPK domain but all those who processed the status of ASN in all institutions. Actually it is already valid in all institutions and also among state-owned enterprises," Moeldoko said in his statement, Wednesday, May 26.
According to Moeldoko, TWK no longer needed to be bothered. Because other agencies also impose disapproval for employees who do not pass TWK.
"The problem of not passing the TWK test is actually not only in KPK but also in other institutions have happened as such conditions. Even in BPIP, there is also implementation. As soon as the TWK test, they didn't pass. Why isn't it noisy? Why is the KPK so mentioned?" he said.
Even so, the former TNI Commander assessed, it is necessary to think about a number of scenarios for improvement of the national insight is still lacking.
"That is through education as desired by Mr. President because this must be strengthened from time to time," Moeldoko said.
He also suggested that in the future the test mechanism should be better structured. As well as proposing, to involve organizations such as NU and Muhammadiyah.
"KSP, in this case, recommends to also involve NU and Muhammadiyah that have been tested to knit the symbol of nationality and diversity of Indonesia," said Moeldoko.
