Cobras Worry About Kalida Lampung Residents Entering The Damkar Evacuated Well
LAMPUNG - Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) officers evacuated a cobra that was troubling residents in Way Lubuk Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency.
"Yes, the Damkarmat officer at the Kalianda post managed to evacuate or catch a cobra that is very dangerous for residents in Way Lubuk Village," said Head of the Fire Department at the South Lampung Damkarmat Service, Rully Fikriansyah, in Kalianda, Wednesday, September 4, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said the highly venomous snake entered a resident's well and was successfully evacuated using a simple fishing gear.
He explained that the chronology of the incident began when a resident called the call center of the fire department post and rescued the Kalianda post, asking for help evacuating cobras.
Then members of the Kalianda post responded and prepared equipment and headed to the location at 12.10 WIB and managed to evacuate at 14.15 WIB.
"After receiving the report, the team immediately moved quickly to the location at Riby's house and then prepared a fishing gear, the evacuation process lasted for approximately two hours because the snake entered the well," he said.

He said after the cobra was secured, officers took and released the snake to a place far from residential areas.
Therefore, Ruly appealed to residents to immediately report to the Fire Station if they found a cobra or other similar things that could endanger residents in the neighborhood.
"Our officers have expertise and are ready to help evacuate venomous animals, such as snakes. Residents should not evacuate themselves, because they are very dangerous and can even threaten their lives," he said.
For this assistance, Riby, a resident of Way Lubuk Village, said he was worried that the snake, with such a size, might still have many young snakes roaming around.
"I would like to thank the South Lampung Damkarmat officers for their help. My family and I are free from the threat of a very venomous snake," he said.
