Rejecting To Be A Team Of RK Or Pramono, Fauzi Bowo: My Obligation To Introduce Jakarta And The Contents

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta for the period 2007-2012, Fauzi Bowo refused to become a successful team for the two candidate pairs who fought in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub).

"I am retired, I am inappropriate. That person must be able to improve himself where he can function properly," said Bang Foke in Setu Babakan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.

Fauzi Bowo, who is familiarly called Bang Foke, emphasized that his job as a retiree was only one, namely to introduce Jakarta and the rest to the upcoming governor candidate.

"My obligation is only one, to introduce Jakarta in its entirety, in full to those who will lead Jakarta. So later when he leads Jakarta, God willing, he will know Jakarta better," he continued.

Foke admitted that he did not intend to become a timses until finally the offer was submitted to him. "Before I was offered, I also said (no, ed)," he added.

He also revealed that the reason for the duration of his meeting with Ridwan Kamil was longer than when he was with Pramono Anung. He said he only followed the wishes and needs of the cagub to find out about Jakarta.

"We are following his needs, he is desperate. He has an hour, yes, an hour. That's why we are doctors. If the doctor, the patient comes, you'll wait for what I say. If the KPK, wait for it, come back again. Yes, we are retirees," he said.

Foke also admitted that there was no specific discussion about Jakarta between him and Ridwan Kamil while surrounding Setu Babakan this morning. Foke said that he only invited him to see Jakarta's assets, namely Setu Babakan's Betawi Village.

"Nothing is too specific, too special. I just invited him to see what Jakarta's assets are like what we said in Setu Babakan. He has never been here," he concluded.
