Class 6 Student At SDN 01 Pondok Bambu Rambut His Burning School Building, Asks For Repairs To The DKI Provincial Government
JAKARTA - The smell of charcoal from the fire that hit the school building at SDN 01 Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit, still stings the nose.
After the fire incident, last Tuesday, July 23, all that was left of the old elementary school building was only an iron pewer that read "SDN Pondok Bambu 01, Child Friendly School".
However, almost all the buildings in the school building have been destroyed and only charcoal remains.
Although the classroom wall and part of the roof are still visible, the contents of almost the entire room have been burned to the fire.
The condition of this school building made a number of students at SDN 01 Pondok Bambu feel sad. They lamented the school building from outside the fence which had been installed with a police line.
One of the students of SDN 01 Pondok Bambu who mourned the school had changed was Nanda, a 6th grade elementary school student.
Nanda and her junior high school sister deliberately came to school to see the condition of the building, where she studied. However, Nanda looks pengusted outside the school gate.
"(Feeling) Yes, it's sad. Today I went to school at 12 in the afternoon. It should have gone in the morning, but now it's noon at SDN 07," Nanda told reporters at the fire location, Wednesday, July 24.
This sixth grade student did not expect the classroom where she studied for five years to be scorched by fire.
In addition, he also feels grateful because his life managed to survive. The reason is, at the time of the incident, he was still in the classroom.

"When it happened again in class, studied. It was really scary, it immediately came out," he said.
Nanda representing her junior high school sister hopes that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can rebuild her school building.
"I hope that the SDN can be built again," he said.
The fire scene that scorched 18 rooms of SDN 01 Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, teaching and learning activities (KBM) at the school will continue on Wednesday, July 24, today.
However, the students will later study at other schools in the Pondok Bambu area. This is because the condition of SDN 01 Pondok Bambu is not suitable for use after the fire. Later, they will take part in teaching and learning activities like the previous days.
"We have coordinated with other schools, we remain as usual, still enter as usual. At SDN Pondok Bambu 07, there are still vacant classes," said Head of Education at Duren Sawit District, Farida Farhah to reporters at the fire site, Tuesday, July 23.
Farida explained that when the fire occurred at SDN 01 Pondok Bambu, the teaching and learning activity process was almost complete. But suddenly sparks appeared until a fire broke out.
