Kamsul Hasan is a good person who never gets angry. His calm demeanor makes everyone feel comfortable around him. His kindness is reflected in his habit of sharing knowledge. For him, sharing is the best way to grow a better next generation.

One of the unforgettable memories is when Kamsul Hasan invited his friends to take the train from Jakarta to Cirebon just to eat jamblang rice. This seemingly simple journey shows how much he values togetherness and happiness in the small things. He not only invited, but also treated him to a meal. He has visited almost all the eating places in Jakarta to treat his friends, showing his extraordinary generosity.

In the world of press, Kamsul Hasan is a mentor who is always ready to help. He was the person who first invited many people to join the management of PWI Jaya, encouraged them to take the Journalist Competency Test (UKW), and invited them to take part in various training related to press law. He is always a loyal discussion friend, a place to ask questions when there are problems related to the news. His steadfastness in defending journalists is reflected in his position as Chair of the Journalist Advocacy and Defense Division at PWI, as well as General Chair of the Central PWI Law Enforcement and Assistance Consultant Institute (LKBPH).

As someone who worked with Kamsul Hasan during his time at PWI Jaya and LKBPH, I have many personal memories that are very meaningful. I still remember the first time he invited me to join the management of PWI Jaya. As a young journalist at that time, I felt very helped and motivated by his invitation. Kamsul always encouraged me to take the Journalist Competency Test (UKW) and various training related to press law. Not infrequently, we spent hours discussing complex legal issues, where he always provided wise and insightful insights.

Kamsul Hasan also worked for the Poskota Daily for a long time and was active as an expert at the Press Council. His Bachelor of Communication education from the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (IISIP) Jakarta and Bachelor of Law and Master of Law from STIH Iblam Jakarta are a strong basis for his expertise in press law.

Lastly, Kamsul Hasan is also the Ombudsman at VOI, where I work. Its role is very crucial, especially when VOI faces a summons or report related to news. In every situation like that, Kamsul always provides constructive and wise input. He helps us understand legal issues clearly and provides the best solutions to resolve issues without compromising our journalistic integrity. His presence provides a sense of security and confidence that every step we take is on the right track.

The body of Drs. Kamsul Hasan, SH., MH., was buried at Menteng Pulo TPU, South Jakarta on Wednesday, July 10, at 10.00 WIB. Even though he has passed away, the memories and knowledge he has shared will always live in the hearts of all of us.
