In a doctoral promotional exam held at the FISIP Unpad Postgraduate Building on Saturday 6 July, Teguh maintained his dissertation entitled "Reunification of Korea with Multi-Party Involvement: A Study Through Game Theory".

The reunification of the Korean Peninsula is the main focus of Teguh's dissertation, which examines the domestic dynamics of North Korea and South Korea as well as the involvement of countries such as the United States, Japan, China, and Russia. Teguh explained that despite the ideological and political challenges between North Korea and South Korea, the issue of reunification has become more complex with multi-party involvement.

In his dissertation, Teguh also discussed the latest proposal from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who in January proposed removing the idea of reunification from the North Korean Constitution. Teguh called this proposal a two-state solution, which South Korea could pursue, leading to permanent peace and peaceful coexistence.

Teguh managed to maintain his dissertation in front of the examiners: Prof. Mohammad Benny Alexandri, Taufik Hidayat, Ph.D., and Dr. Arifin Sudirman, as well as a promoter team consisting of Prof. Arry Bainus, Prof. Widya Setiabudi Sumadinata, and Dr. Wawan Budi Darmawan. He was declared to have graduated with a judicial title very satisfying.
