After The PUPR Together Meeting, Acting Regent Of Bogor Strives For Puncak Street Vendors To Become Parks To Pedestrians
Acting (Pj) Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu seeks to arrange used street vendors (PKL) in the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, to become pedestrians to parks.
Asmawa revealed that the arrangement of the Puncak area was supported by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.
"This is a direct direction from the Minister of PUPR RI to the ranks of the PUPR Ministry, especially Cipta Karya and Bina Marga, to immediately follow up on the request submitted by the Bogor Regency Government through a letter that we have submitted," he said after a coordination meeting with the PUPR Ministry in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 3, was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the former street vendors along the Puncak route will be be beautified by widening roads, construction of pedestrians, parks, as well as installing ornamental lights to fences.
"This includes additional parking areas for the Gunung Mas Rest Area which we must coordinate with PTPN," said Asmawa.
It is known that Asmawa directly led the control of street vendors in the Puncak area on Monday, June 24, despite being rejected by some street vendors.
Asmawa ensured that the economy of street vendors in tourist areas would be better after moving to the Gunung Mas Rest Area.

The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) has provided various facilities for traders, including free retribution fees for the next six months.
The manager of the Mount Mas Rest Area, PT Sayuga Wisata, is even integrating the entrance and exit of the Gunung Mas Tourism Agro with a rest area, so that traders are crowded with tourists.
"We hope that the economy will be better, because the flow in and out of Gunung Mas will cross here (Rest Area Gunung Mas)," said Asmawa.
In addition, the Bogor Regency Government also frees parking costs for tourist vehicles entering and leaving the Gunung Mas Rest Area.
He considered the paid parking system implemented since the Gunung Mas Rest Area operated in mid-2023 as one of the reasons for the lack of visitors.
