5 Lion Air Officers Steal The Passenger Bag Of The Makassar-Jakarta Destination Aircraft

TANGERANG - Police arrested an officer of Lion Air airline who served as a porter handling. They were arrested on suspicion of stealing with the mode of breaking into a passenger's bag with the initials JS (26).

Deputy Chief of Police of Soekarno Hatta Airport, AKBP Ronald Sipayung said the five perpetrators had the initials AS (26), H (28), D (34), A (24) and T (22).

The incident occurred at the Lion Air JT 703 plane compound on the Makasar - Jakarta route which was parked at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Sunday, May 26, at 22:40 WIB.

"Successfully securing 5 perpetrators. These 5 perpetrators were arrested in the South Sulawesi Province area," Ronald told reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Friday, June 28.

Ronald explained that the incident began when Lion Air airline experienced a slowdown in Makassar-Jakarta. After that, the victim finally departed from Makassar and arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport.

"This happened in the position of the aircraft departure schedule experiencing a delay in the aircraft departure schedule for 2 hours," he said

After the plane landed at Terminal 2E Soekarno Hatta Airport, the reporter headed to the conveyour to collect his baggage. It turned out that there were a number of items that had been lost. The loss is estimated at Rp41 million.

Then the victim reported to the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police for what happened to him.

The police who received the report, then conducted an investigation and examined a number of CCTVs and coordinated with the Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Police and Maros Police.

"We learned about the process of this mother boarding. Earlier, Mr. Kasat said that there was a delay in leaving. Now, it will certainly be the object of our detailed examination. Including people or officers who carry out the process of making up to displace consumer goods," he said.

"Then we did an in-depth investigation so that in the end we can confirm these 5 perpetrators as perpetrators," he continued.

Ronald said, his party immediately moved and arrested the perpetrators in South Sulawesi.

Currently, the perpetrators along with evidence have been secured. Ronald said that the evidence in the form of 3 gold rings had not been sold. Meanwhile, Singapore and American dollars have been sold.

The perpetrators were named as suspects. They were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code paragraph (1) 4 with a maximum threat of seven years in prison.
