Police Search For 3 Singapore Demonstrators Demanding To End Cooperation In Selling And Buying Weapons With Israel
JAKARTA - Solidar action against Israel's occupation of Palestine was carried out by three men on the steel rope bridge in the OCBC Skyway tourist area, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore.
Citing Straitstimes, Tuesday, April 16, the three demonstrators unfurled banners that read "The end of arms trafficking between SG [Singapore] and Israel".
Actions against the sale and purchase of weapons took place amid the heat of the Middle East following Israel's acceptance of Iran's retaliation against the consulate attack in Damascus that actually violated the UN Charter.
In response to this, a spokesman for Gardens by the Bay said that his party had reported the activity without permission to the local police.
The spokesman was reluctant to explain further, but it was confirmed that the police had investigated the three protesters, their identities were still unclear.

Based on statements from known protesters from the 'Singaporeans for Palestine' group, the demonstration was held on Monday, April 15 evening local time.
In their action, they said the global economic elite did not care about human rights violations that occurred right in sight.
According to protesters, Singapore does mediate a ceasefire in Gaza through the United Nations, including providing humanitarian assistance to Palestine. However, that effort would not mean anything if Singapore continued to allow violence to occur.
The statement also revealed how the purchase of weapons by Singapore from Israel has funded war efforts in Gaza, and how weapons developed jointly by the two countries are now being used in the war.
