Honda HRV Burns In Petamburan, West Jakarta

JAKARTA - A Honda HRV car with police number B 1424 UMB was burned by fire on Jalan Kyai Tapa, Tomang Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta, Sunday, March 31, evening. The incident occurred at around 22.16 WIB.

"The fire suppression was deployed with 4 personnel. The fire was extinguished at 22:38 WIB," said Damkar picket officer Baidillah Effendi in his statement.

The fire occurred because of an electrical short from the engine room of the car. Then there was a spark that grew and burned the car.

The owner of the car is known to have the initials K (37), a resident of Gambir, Central Jakarta.

"The alleged cause of an electrical short occurred from the car engine room to trigger a fire," he said.

The car owner only discovered the incident after being given information by road users that the car was emitting smoke from the engine room.

As a result of the incident, it is estimated that the owner suffered a loss of Rp. 200 million. Currently, the process of extinguishing the fire has been completed.
