Pertamina Calls No Gas Station Affected By The Explosion Of The Jaya Military Command Munisi Warehouse

PT Pertamina (Persero) through subholding company PT Pertamina Patra Niaga said that no gas stations were affected by the explosion at the Regional Munisi Warehouse (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday, March 30.

"It's still operating normally," said PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting as quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 31.

Thus, said Irto, there will be no disruption in the distribution of gas and fuel to the community around the Kodam Jaya regional ammunition warehouse (gud cheap) in Ciangsana, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"The closest SPBU is at a radius of 5 km," said Irto Ginting.

Previously, as many as 15 warehouses at the Regional Ammunition Warehouse Complex (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana, Saturday (30/3), at around 18.30 WIB exploded and caught fire.

Fires and explosions from the direction of the ammunition warehouse were still heard at least three hours after the first explosion.

Of the 15 warehouses that burned down, one of them was warehouse number 6 which kept expired ammunition.

The 6th ammunition block contains expired ammunition and (results) returns from various units served by Kodam Jaya throughout Jakarta, "said Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Mohamad Hasan.

He said there were around 160,000 ammunition and expired explosives stored in warehouse number 6.

Furthermore, Hasan also confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the explosion.

"Until now, we have checked all locations in our perimeter, one kilometer ahead, towards settlements (near the warehouse) there were no casualties," said Mohamad Hasan.

Separately, the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said TNI and Polri personnel had been present at the scene of the explosion at the Regional Ammunition Warehouse (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana, Bogor Regency, West Java, to ensure the safety of local residents.

"The TNI and Polri are already present in the midst of society, from Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa, as well as the regional ranks of Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya," said Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday night, March 30.
