Becoming A KPK Suspect And Detained, Nurdin Abdullah Celebrates Eid 2021 In Prison
JAKARTA - The Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah has been officially named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Nurdin Abdullah is suspected of accepting bribes from several contractors related to the project in South Sulawesi.
The suspect was named Nurdin Abdullah after KPK investigators conducted an intensive examination accompanied by two sufficient pieces of evidence.
Apart from Nurdin Abdullah, the KPK also named two other suspects. They are the Secretary of Sulawesi Province Public Works, Edy Rahmat (ER), and Agung Sucipto as the contractor.
"The KPK has named three suspects, as recipients of NA and ER. Meanwhile, the donor is AS," said KPK Chairman Filri Bahuri during a press conference, Saturday, February 28.
With the appointment of Nurdin Abdullah as a suspect, he was immediately detained at the KPK branch of the Pomdam Jaya Guntur branch. Therefore, in 2021 Nurdin Abdullah will celebrate Eid in prison.
