Two Sections Of The DI Panjaitan Flood Road, Many Motorbikes Are Submerged In Water
JAKARTA - The DI Panjaitan Road on the border of Makasar and Jatinegara sub-districts, East Jakarta, has again been flooded as high as 60 cm due to heavy rains and clogged waterway drainage.
As a result of the flood, traffic flow was congested from the opposite two directions and many vehicles broke down because they were trapped in a flood.
Meanwhile, other vehicles that are desperate to break through the flood inundation can only cross the right side of the sidewalk by lining up.
Igo, a motorcyclist, said he was desperate to pass when he was driving from Condet to Rawamangun. However, because he was trapped in the water, his motorbike engine died.
"The motorbike died because the water level was good, there was (above 50 cm). Only the first flood was wrong. Previously, if the flood had never been here. The hope was that many culverts should be tidied up," said Igo to reporters at the location, Thursday, February 5.

Meanwhile, the inundation was immediately handled by PPSU officers from Cipinang Village, Cempedak, who were at the location.
M Taufik, one of the PPSU officers, said that currently the inundation conditions have receded somewhat after previously being above 50 cm.
"The distance has receded. (the strike motorbike) Especially the middle one who took the motorbike, he should have taken the right. The flood on the left and right, the right one is from Tanjung Priok to Cililitan, which is left from Cililitan to Tanjung Priok," he said.
