Rain And Strong Winds, 3 Climbers Of Mount Pangrango Lost Contact

BOGOR - A total of 13 climbers on Mount Pangrango, Bogor, West Java are reportedly lost. Three of them disappeared without news.

Head of the Operations Section of the Jakarta SAR Office Agung Priambodo said his party received a report on Sunday, January 28.

He explained that the incident began when dozens of climbers began their journey from Cibedug Kulah Dua. However, when they were around the Pangrango forest they were targeted.

While climbing, the weather on the mountain was hit by rain accompanied by strong winds.

"The latest information from the report is that the number of climbers is 13 people crossing the Cibedug route," he said.

Currently, 10 of the 13 climbers have been at the top of the mountain. However, 3 of them lost contact.

"Meanwhile, 3 other people are separated and until now they cannot be contacted," he concluded
