1 Month 3 Times In Action, Bintung Jumping Viral In Cakung Finally Stabbing In A Cell
The Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit revealed 5 perpetrators of jumping squirrels who stole pieces of iron from a truck passing on Jalan Raya Bekasi KM 21, Cakung, East Jakarta.
They are TP (31), TS (25), RA (31), MR (30) and MS (36), known as a group of specialist squirrels jumping in East Jakarta.
"The modus operandi is that the perpetrator got on the truck when the traffic flow was jammed by picking up and unloading iron," said Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Panji Ali Chandra to reporters, Friday, January 26.
Kompol Panji said the perpetrators worked together. They have carried out their actions for the past month 3 times in the same location.
"One of the perpetrators (MR) took the above, two people caught the goods below. There were collectors and some executed them," he said.
The perpetrators sold iron for Rp. 400 thousand to collectors. The stolen goods are used for daily meals.
"The goods are sold for 400 thousand rupiahs, there are collectors. They only act in East Jakarta. They don't carry sharp weapons," he said.

A number of evidences confiscated were 4 pieces of iron measuring 14 cm wide with a length of 70 cm and the clothes used by the perpetrators when carrying out the action.
As a result of his actions, the five perpetrators were threatened with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
Sobirin (45), one of the truck drivers who used to pass on Jalan Raya Bekasi, appreciated the rapid performance of the Cakung Police officers who arrested the perpetrators of the jumping squirrels.
"Thank you, sir, for the quick response to arresting the perpetrators of the squirrels jumping in the Cakung area. I as a truck driver who always passes by the location feel happy because it is safe," he added.
Previously, it was reported that a group of jumping squirrels caught on video cameras from one of the truck drivers was arrested by the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit for less than 1x24 hours. The perpetrators were arrested after the video of the theft went viral on social media.
According to the information gathered, the perpetrators of the theft of truck cargo using the jumping squirrel mode (increased truck cargo) amounted to 4 people. The arrests of the four perpetrators were carried out in stages after development.
