Two Persekat Tegal Bus Destroyer Arrested, Revenge Motive Triggered

Cilacap Police arrested two perpetrators of bus vandalism who were carrying Persekat Tegal players. Cilacap Police Chief Kombes Pol Ruruh Wicaksono, through the Head of Public Relations of the Cilacap Police, Iptu Budi Pitoyo, said the action took place on Monday, January 22, when Persekat Tegal players were returning to home base, after competing against PSCS Cilacap.

"However, when passing the Jambusari - Wangon highway, precisely in Jambusari Village, Jeruklegi District, the bus the group was traveling in was marked with stones by 2 perpetrators riding a motorcycle," said Iptu Budi Pitoyo in a statement received, Tuesday, January 23.

As a result of the throwing, the bus suffered damage to the windshield.

"The front glass of the bus is cracked. This has resulted in a loss of 20 million rupiah", said Budi.

After receiving the report, police officers searched for the perpetrator. And not long after, the police arrested two people, namely BAR (21) and PRA (21).

"The perpetrators' motive was because they had a sense of revenge during the previous match between PSCS Cilacap vs Persekat Tegal at the Pemalang stadium, there was friction or chaos", said Budi.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code. The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 5 years.
