Ms Donald's Rawamangun Returns To Operation After Student Boycotts

JAKARTA - McDonald's fast food restaurant on Pemuda Raya Street, Rawamangun, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta began operating normally after a boycott by a group of students on Wednesday night, November 22.

Adit, one of the residents said, even though it was operating normally, around the restaurant, the authorities were still waiting to anticipate further action.

"I didn't know there was an action. But what is clear is that I saw a lot of Satpol PP in the McDonald's parking lot," Adit told reporters, Thursday, November 23.

Since 22.00 WIB, officers from restaurant, police, and Satpol PP have been on guard at the location.

Some of the officers were on guard at the location, both at the main entrance of the restaurant, the north side, and the central side.

Meanwhile, visitors or customers have started arriving again, and restaurant lights have also been reactivated.

On Wednesday night, November 22, a McDonald's fast food restaurant on Pemuda Raya Street, Rawamangun, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, was raided by a number of people.

They are trying to boycott McDonald's because it is suspected that the brand from America supports Israel's action to attack Palestine.

"They are concerned demanding that McDonald's be closed," said Pulogadung Police Chief Kompol Sutrisno to VOI, Tuesday, November 22, evening.

The masses came from UIC Pulomas students. They held a demonstration related to solidarity with Palestine against Israeli Zionists.

"It's an unras student related to solidarity with Palestine against Israel. There was no fatal damage. They kicked the McDonald's logo. But iron was not damaged," he said.
