Used Goods In Cipayung Burnt, Firefighters Deploy 6 Fire Trucks

JAKARTA - A joint shelter for used goods or rosok on Pagelarang Street, Damai Gang, RT 06/01, Setu Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, caught fire on Wednesday, September 13, evening.

The bedeng is known to belong to Haji Nana (52), which is a place where goods are collected. The fire spread very quickly because many materials were flammable.

"The object caught fire. The fire was extinguished at 18.28 WIB after being doused by 6 fire engines with 24 personnel," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Wednesday, September 13, evening.

Luckily, the area burned was only 5x6 meters. The fire was finally extinguished by firefighters.

"The cause is not yet known. The owner suffered a loss of 10 million," he said.

The fire incident was discovered by workshop workers around the location who saw the fire appearing. Then the repair shop worker contacted the firefighters.

"Currently the fire has been extinguished. There are no casualties or injuries," he said.
