2 Bosses Of The Sambangi International Financial Institution Jokowi At The Palace Ahead Of The ASEAN Summit

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received World Bank President Ajay Banga and International Monetary Fund Implementing Director (IMF) Kristalinawiva at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, September 4.

Ajay Banga's visit, who came wearing formal suits and Crystals using batik, took place ahead of the 43rd ASEAN Summit on September 5-7.

Ajay Banga arrived at the Merdeka Palace at around 14.15 WIB, while Crystal arrived at 14.45 WIB. The two leaders of the international financial institutions separately held a meeting with President Jokowi.

Also accompanying Jokowi in a meeting with Ajay Banga were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury., and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.

In addition to meeting with Ajay and Crystal, Jokowi is also scheduled to have a meeting with the Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab.

Furthermore, Jokowi will hold a bilateral meeting with a number of heads of state ahead and during the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

The ASEAN 43rd Summit was held under the Chairmanship of Indonesia with the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth".

Through this theme, Indonesia wants to make ASEAN relevant in order to be able to face various challenges in the future, encourage regional stability and peace. Indonesia also continues to strengthen concrete cooperation so that the Southeast Asia region remains the center of world economic growth.
