Renault Launches Track Van E-Tech, Multipurpose Electric Powered LCV Model

Renault released a commercial electric-powered van, All-New Traffic Van E-Tech. The van is included in the ranks of the electric-powered Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), along with All-New Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech and Master E-Tech which were launched earlier.

All-New Traffic Van E-Tech has an advantage like other LCV Renault, which carries the same performance advantage as the combustion engine version.

Reporting from Renault's official website, Thursday, September 14, Traffic Van E-Tech offers a versatile best choice and gets the storage space adjusted as needed.

There are two dimensions offered, a version with a length of 5,080 mm and 5,480 mm as well as two height options of 1,967 mm and 2,498 mm. This van can carry 4.15 m of goods in an expanded version of L2 and has a load capacity of 1.1 tons while the capacity for towings or 750 kg cranes.

Moving to the runway sector, the electric version of Traffic Van is equipped with an electric motor that is placed on the front powered 122 dk and a torque 245 Nm. The lithium-ion battery package with a capacity of 52 kilowatt-hours sends power to the motor, allowing for a distance of up to 297 km with one full charge. While the "long-range" variant, with a maximum speed of 90 km/hour, can reach a distance of up to 322 km with a single charge.

Speaking of charging, this French electric van can recharge its battery via a single 7 kW AC charger, a 32 kW three-phase AC charger that can provide an additional 50 km distance in less than 25 minutes, or a 50 kW fast DC charger, which will be available next year claims Renault.

With the standard Renault EasyLink multimedia system or MyRenault smartphone app, users can schedule battery charging and remotely monitor battery status, schedule previous cabin heating, check charging points along certain routes, and check destinations that can be achieved with the remaining battery range.

This electric traffic Van also has a total of 88 liters of storage space in the cabin, with 19.7 liters on the center console, 14.6 liters on the door, and 54 liters on the bench, while some variants are equipped with Easylife drawers that are referred to instead of classic gloves boxes, which offer an additional 6.6 liters of storage space.

The French manufacturer also provided the Adaptive Regenerative Brake System (ABRS) feature in the van hydraulic braking system which is useful in maximizing energy recovery.

Renault Traffic Van E-Tech electric's new generation will go on sale in Europe in October and deliveries will begin in November, with the Sandouville factory in France responsible for producing it. Motorcycles and chargers were built at the Renault factory in Cleon, while batteries were assembled in Flens.
