Barbie Film Song Content, FIFTY FIFTY Cancels Filming Music

JAKARTA - Fans' desire to see FIFTY FIFTY shining seems to have to stop. The latest report says the K-pop group canceled some of their activities including filming for the Barbie movie soundtrack.

FIFTY FIFTY is confirmed to be one of the soundtracks for the Warner Bros. film. Produced by Mark Ronson, they will sing a new song titled Barbie Dreams with singer Kali.

Ilgan Sports reported they were supposed to shoot a music video for the song, but the plan was canceled because FIFTY FIFTY members were in conflict with the agency. Not only that, their schedule includes shooting large-scale commercials and appearing on variety was also canceled.

FIFTY FIFTY's agency, ATTRAKT, confirmed the report. They explained the problem started when one of the members was sick.

"That's right, we can't shoot a music video for Barbie OST. Member Aran is sick and undergoing surgery, and he needs two months of recovery so we can't shoot for music videos," said ATTRAKT.

"But then the current situation happened so it's getting more and more difficult," they continued.

FIFTY FIFTY also canceled their appearance at the KCON LA event which is scheduled for 19 August.

The four FIFTY FIFTY members filed for an exclusive contract termination with ATTRAKT on June 19. The news only came to the public on June 28 and the agency said there were external parties who tried to ask FIFTY FIFTY to do so.

On June 27, ATTRAKT reported FIFTY FIFTY producer Ahn Sung Il/SIAHN suspected of committing fraud, contract violations, and others. At the same time, Warner Music Korea denied that they were external parties called ATTRAKT.

Until now, the FIFTY FIFTY contract bet with ATTRAKT is still ongoing which causes them not to be able to carry out promotions. This is unfortunate considering FIFTY FIFTY has just received their success with the song totaling viral on the internet.
