Angkot Jaklingko Hits A Tree On Jalan Pemuda Rawamangun, Passengers Pinched Into The Door

JAKARTA - One unit of public transportation in Jaklingko was found crushed after hitting a tree on Jalan Pemuda Rawamangun, near SPBG Pemuda, Rawamangun, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, April 26, afternoon. The exact cause of the accident is not yet known.

The incident was reported to have occurred at around 12.51 WIB. Then the officers carried out the evacuation process at 12.58 WIB. The evacuation process of the Jaklingko passengers lasted a long time.

"Three victims were successfully evacuated to the Antam Pulogadung hospital. Meanwhile, 1 other victim was taken to the Friendship Hospital. The identities of the victims were unknown, because they were immediately taken to the hospital after being evacuated," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Wednesday, April 26.

Gatot also said that one passenger was caught in the angkot car door. However, the officers managed to evacuate it.

"One passenger was caught in the car on the left front and was successfully evacuated by rescue officers in a safe condition," he said.

After several minutes of rescue efforts, the evacuation process was completed at 13.10 WIB.

"The four victims have been treated to the hospital, they are alive. The evacuation process was carried out by 12 personnel consisting of 2 rescue teams," he said.
