Eiichiro Oda Shares The Latest One Piece Adaptation News On Netflix

JAKARTA - Creator Eiichiro Oda shared the latest news from the One Piece manga adaptation process. One of the best-selling mangas in the world is being adapted in a live-action format for Netflix cooperation with Tomorrow Studios and Shueisha.

Today, Friday, May 5, Netflix uploaded a letter written by Eiichiro Oda to all One Piece fans. He felt the enthusiasm and challenges faced in adapting his favorite work.

I've been working with Tomorrow Studios and Netflix for a long time. Even though they understand the characters, we have cultural differences. So with regard to entertainment, we have different rules, sets of expertise, and ideals," said Oda.

Eiichiro Oda admitted that there were several moments when he felt tired of doing this adaptation. He had thought about ending production because foreign production was difficult to do.

"Maybe this announcement came suddenly, but it's been working hard for a long time and now everyone can work in harmony and our work is almost finished!" said Eiichiro again.

Furthermore, Oda considers this may be his last chance to accompany One Piece production. He saw the enthusiasm of the players who came from various countries and Netflix's support to present the series with the best quality.

Due to my age constraints, I believe this is my last chance to present One Piece around the world. If indeed One Piece will be adapted, I want to be able to supervise myself while I am still healthy," said Oda, calling the adaptation approval carried out in 2016.

"We have entered the final process! Now we have completed eight episodes! Soon we will sail," concluded Eiichiro Oda.

One Piece is Eiichiro Oda's phenomenal work and is one of the best-selling manga series of all time with millions of fans around the world. First published in 1997, this manga tells the story of Luffy's exciting adventure that DAIlies to become the King of Marine Hijackers. A group of pirates joined the Jerami Topic Crew to become a loyal crew for Luffy.

The live-action series directed by Netflix will be played by Imenki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), Taz Skylar (Sanji), Vincent drow, Ilia Isorel total Paulino, Morgan Davies, total Scott, total Kirkwood, Jeff Ward, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis,gur Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, and Chioma Umeala.

Oda also joined as executive producers with Matt Owens and Steven Maeda.
