4 Subsidized Fuel Misappropriation Perpetrators In West Sumatra Arrested By Police
The West Sumatra Police Team arrested four perpetrators suspected of being involved in a criminal act of misuse of subsidized diesel fuel (BBM).
The Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Police, Kombes Dwi Sulistyawan, said that the four suspects were arrested from two cases, namely the case in West Pasaman Regency and Bukittinggi City.
The first case in the West Pasaman Regency area was by securing the perpetrator with the initials Z (48) at the gas station 13,263,508 Medan Cross Road Jorong Kampung Baru in West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra on the date (3/5).
"Then the police monitored and found a green minibus that was filling up bio solar fuel using 33 liter capacity jerry cans," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 30.
For the evidence that was secured in the form of a green Isuzu Panther minibus car with police number BK 1101 VL along with a ignition key and STNK.
"Certained 12 jerry cans with a capacity of 33 liters and 331,610 (three hundred and thirty-one coma six hundred ten) liters of bio solar fuel," he said.
Furthermore, in the second case, three perpetrators were arrested, namely a man with the initials NEP (36), E (40) and FI (46) on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Pulai Anak Air Village, Mandiangin Koto Selayan District, Bukittinggi City on Thursday (11/5)
"We secured a unit of L300 car number BA 8687 LA which was carried by NEP containing two drums with a capacity of 200 liters containing bio solar fuel and a drum with a capacity of 200 liters, empty," he said.
Furthermore, the police again arrested two perpetrators with the initials E (40) and FI (46).
In this case, his party secured a red Isuzu Panther minibus with police number BA 1189 RM which contained a drum with a capacity of 200 liters empty but a pump engine and hose was installed.

The police also secured six 1,000-liter tedmons containing diesel fuel, one 1,000-liter tedmon empty and four pump machines and a hose.
Based on the results of the investigation by the West Sumatra Police Ditreskrimsus, it is known that E acted as the main actor who distributed fuel.
"We are still investigating the distribution. We will also coordinate with related parties in the development of this case. The perpetrators have also been detained," he said.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas which was added and changed to Article 40 number 9 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law.
